Founder & GroomerI am the owner of Dashing Dogs and spend most of my time in the grooming parlour, making your dogs look beautiful. When I'm not grooming, I am taking care of all of the other stuff and ensuring the smooth day to day running of the business. I like to hear how we have done and enjoy listening to stories about what your dogs have been up to. A good relationship with you is vital and I aim to help out where I can.

Trek LeaderHey, I'm Jade and I’m the Trek Leader for Bishop Auckland & surrounding areas. My whole life I have been surrounded by dogs, mainly working and hunting dogs so I have plenty of experience. I fill my Treks with lots of enrichment activities and try to go on a new adventure every time. Me and your dogs will love it!
Where it all began
Hey there! I'm Lisa, the proud owner of Dashing Dogs Style & Trek. Since I am dedicated to providing you with such a personalised service, I believe it's important for you to know a bit about my past.
Back in 2011, I embarked on a new adventure as I married my wonderful husband, Matt. Little did I know, this journey would take us all the way to Germany due to Matt's service in the Army. Being surrounded by a military community and not speaking German fluently, finding employment was quite a challenge for me. So, I dedicated my time to managing our household and being a good wife, and mam to our beautiful daughter, Olivia.
It was during this period that our love for dogs truly blossomed. Matt, having cherished the companionship of dogs throughout his life, decided it was time to welcome one into our family. That's when we rescued our first young dog, Peanut, all the way from Cyprus. Peanut, a mixed breed, came with some behavioural issues that needed some attention. I dived into research and training, working tirelessly to teach Peanut basic commands and behaviour management techniques.
But the love for dogs didn't stop there. One day while visiting a friend, I laid eyes on Rosie, an adorable crossbreed Shih Tzu from their dog's recent litter. It was love at first sight for me, although Matt needed a little convincing. Eventually I succeeded, and Rosie became part of our growing pack. This experience ignited a spark within me, and I found myself extending my assistance to friends by walking their dogs while they were busy at work. It became a regular occurrence, and I realized how much joy it brought not only to the dogs, but also to their grateful owners. Their kind words and observations about their pets' increased happiness motivated me to pursue this further.
In 2018, we returned to the UK and settled in Bishop Auckland. However, my extended absence from the country and a lack of recent work experience made finding a job a real challenge. That's when Matt came to the rescue with a brilliant suggestion: why not advertise my dog walking services? After giving it some thought, I realized it was the perfect opportunity to continue doing what I loved and bring happiness to both the dogs and their owners. And so, with determination and countless hours of hard work, Dashing Dogs was born.
Over the years, we've had the privilege of serving numerous amazing clients who have expressed their utmost satisfaction with our services. While I'm out there hitting the trails and making tails wag, Matt takes care of the administrative tasks, managing the website, paperwork, and marketing. Together, we make a fantastic team.
But it doesn't stop there! I'm lucky to have the support of an exceptional lady who is an integral part of our team. Jade, my right-hand helper in Bishop Auckland and Spennymoor. This lady consistently goes above and beyond to provide an outstanding service, and I trust her completely.
